Frequently asked questions
Will resizing reduce my image quality?
Downscaling keeps images sharp thanks to high-quality resampling. The quality slider controls compression: 80–90% is usually visually identical to the original at a fraction of the file size.
How do I make a photo small enough for a web form?
Use the Exact size mode with a width like 800–1200 px, pick JPG or WebP as the output format and set quality to around 80% — this typically brings photos under a few hundred kilobytes.
Which format should I choose — JPG, PNG or WebP?
JPG is best for photos, PNG for graphics that need transparency, and WebP usually gives the smallest files with great quality for both.
Are my photos uploaded anywhere?
